Talking about his four daughters, Hadid elaborated of their Arabic names. Per Turkey-based newspaper the Daily Sabah, Hadid had been on a visit to Istanbul and prayed in the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque and the Blue Mosque. Recently, the property tycoon opened up about his five children – Alana and Marielle Hadid from his first marriage and Gigi, Bella and Anwar from his second marriage to Yolanda Hadid – and revealed the Arabic names of all of them. Their father, Mohamed Hadid, is Palestinian and is passionate about his culture and has instilled this in his children too. She later suspended her studies to focus on her modeling career. Gigi studied criminal psychology at the new school in New York City beginning in the fall 2013. Upon graduating from high school, she moved to New York City to focus on her studies and her modeling career. Her mother is a Dutch-born American, and her father is Palestinian-American that explains her name combination. Through her father, she descends from Daher Al Omer, Prince of Nazareth and the Sheikh of Galilee. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, to Mohamed Hadid, a real estate developer, and Yolanda Hadid a former model. Gigi Hadid is an American fashion model who has gradually carved out a niche for herself in the industry.
